At a glance: Keep wood veneer and felt acoustic panels looking their best. Use gentle dusting, light spot cleaning and careful moisture control.

Choose a gentle routine
Wood veneer acoustic panels need different care from a washable tile wall. The visible wood, MDF core and felt backing should not be soaked. Regular light cleaning is usually more effective than an occasional aggressive wash, especially on a slat wall where dust can collect between the strips.
Remove loose dust first
Use a soft duster or brush along the slats. A vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment and gentle suction can help remove dust from the felt and narrow spaces. Avoid dragging hard nozzles across the veneer. Work carefully around slat edges so the attachment does not catch the finish.
Spot-clean the wood with minimal moisture
For a small mark, use a soft cloth that is only lightly damp. Test in an inconspicuous area first and wipe gently, then dry the surface. Do not saturate the felt, edges or MDF core. Follow any product-specific care advice for the finish rather than assuming every wood treatment accepts the same cleaner.
Avoid common cleaning mistakes
Do not use steam cleaners, pressure washing, abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners on indoor acoustic panels. Do not apply oils, varnishes or protective coatings without checking suitability: they can change the finish and may affect documented performance. If a stain does not lift with gentle cleaning, ask for advice before trying stronger products.
Protect the installation over time
Keep panels away from persistent damp and direct heat, and check that fixings remain sound. Indoor wood veneer panels are not intended for outdoor use or wet bathroom zones. If a slat becomes damaged, ask Adeqo about matching replacement components. Share a photograph and the product finish so the team can advise on the next step.
