Why walnut?

Walnut acoustic panels combine a warm real-wood finish with sound-absorbing felt. The grain brings character to the interior while the panel construction helps reduce room reflections.

The character of walnut

Walnut's brown tones and natural grain bring warmth to clean modern interiors and more traditional schemes. Pair it with fabrics, stone or metal details and compare how the colour changes under your lighting. Natural variation gives each wall its own character.

Walnut panels with acoustic benefits

The slats sit over an absorbent felt backing that helps reduce reverberation. Acoustic results depend on coverage and mounting; choose the layout for both the sound of the room and its appearance.

Business customers

Boardrooms and executive offices

Walnut panels give boardrooms and meeting spaces a warm professional finish while helping absorb reflections. They do not provide speech confidentiality by themselves; privacy requires assessment of the complete room and partitions.

Use walnut as a reception backdrop or restaurant feature wall. The veneer brings warmth while the felt helps reduce room reverberation. Plan coverage and mounting for the space.

Walnut creates a warm backdrop behind a television or desk and can help soften reflected sound in open-plan rooms. Follow appliance clearances near fireplaces and fix heavy items to the underlying structure.

Four details to compare

Choose walnut panels by the same material and performance criteria as oak or black panels: real veneer, core construction, felt backing and documented installation details.

01

Real walnut veneer

Real walnut veneer covers the front and both sides of the slats. Its natural grain and colour give the wall depth from different angles. Like other real wood surfaces, the finish can vary naturally and change with light exposure.

02

Stable slat core

An MDF core supports the veneered slats and gives the panel a consistent form. Prepare a suitable level wall and follow the installation details for a clean finish.

03

Classified acoustic felt

The walnut slats sit on recycled PET acoustic felt in a dark finish. In the standard range, the felt is classified B-s1,d0. This does not classify the complete standard panel assembly.

04

Dimensions and fit

Walnut panels are 60 cm wide and available in 260 or 300 cm lengths. Choose the length for your wall and plan cuts or joins for higher spaces. Lay out the slat pattern before fixing.

About walnut

How does Dark Walnut compare with the other finishes?

Compare physical samples in the room where the panels will be installed. Lighter finishes give a brighter effect; smoked, brown and black finishes create stronger contrast. Light Walnut is lighter than Classic or Dark Walnut, while rustic oak has a more lively grain. Daylight, evening lighting and your flooring all affect the result. Natural veneer varies between pieces.

Can the veneer change colour in sunlight?

Real wood can change colour with light exposure. Compare samples in the room and avoid assuming that veneer will remain identical over time. Curtains or blinds can reduce prolonged direct sunlight. Follow the product care advice.

How do I choose the right wood finish for my room?

Compare physical samples against your floor, furniture and wall colour in daylight and under evening lighting. Black gives a stronger contrast, walnut brings warm brown tones and lighter oak can keep the composition brighter. A smaller feature area may suit a dark finish where a full wall would dominate the room.

How many panels do I need?

For a full-height wall, divide its width by the panel width and round up. Standard panels are 60 cm wide; a 3 m-wide wall needs five full-width panels if the selected length covers its height. Draw the cut layout and allow for waste. For acoustic treatment, coverage depends on the room and mounting; 30–40% of wall area is an initial guide, not a guaranteed result.

How do I clean and maintain these panels?

Dust the slats with a soft brush or duster. Use a soft vacuum brush with gentle suction for the felt. Remove small marks from the veneer with a lightly damp cloth and dry the surface. Do not soak the panel or use steam, abrasives or harsh cleaning products.

How do I install these panels?

Prepare a clean, dry and sound wall, measure the layout and cut panels to fit. Use suitable High Tack adhesive or screws for the substrate. Check alignment as you work and finish exposed edges with matching trims. Always use mechanical fixings on ceilings. For tested acoustic or fire performance, follow the specified installation configuration.

Which panel dimensions are available?

Standard acoustic panels are 60 cm wide and available in 260 or 300 cm lengths. The separate fire-retardant range also includes selected 60 × 60 cm square panels. Check the dimensions and availability of the exact finish before ordering.

What fire classification applies to Fire-retardant?

The felt and fire-retardant MDF core have separate B-s1,d0 component reports. This does not establish the classification of the veneered slats or complete panel. Request the report and confirm that your proposed installation is within its scope. This does not mean the panel is non-combustible or gives a wall a fire-resistance rating.

Bring style and comfort together

Walnut acoustic panels add natural texture and help reduce reflected sound. Explore the finishes, choose samples and complete your order with matching trims and installation materials. For larger quantities, contact Adeqo for a project quotation and product advice.
