Description

Bring natural texture and a calmer sound to your interior with Adeqo acoustic wall panels in Rustic Oak. The wood veneer finish makes a feature of the wall, while the acoustic felt backing helps reduce reflected sound and reverberation.

Real wood veneer on three sides

The MDF slats are finished with real wood veneer on the front and both sides, giving the wall a consistent wood appearance from different viewing angles. Compare a physical sample before choosing the finish for your room.

Panel construction

Panel dimensions: 260 × 60 cm. The backing is 9 mm grey recycled PET acoustic felt. For the exact slat dimensions, total thickness and felt colour, see the specifications for this product. Acoustic performance depends on the tested mounting configuration.

Reaction to fire

The felt backing has a B-s1,d0 reaction to fire classification under EN 13501-1. This does not classify the standard MDF core or the complete standard panel. If your project requires a classified complete panel, ask Adeqo to confirm whether applicable complete-panel evidence is available before ordering.

Installation and finishing

Fix with mounting adhesive or screws through the felt between the slats. Cut to size as required and finish exposed edges with a matching end trim. For larger or commercial projects, contact Adeqo for advice on quantities, materials and the required configuration.

Suitable for indoor living, working, hospitality and hotel spaces. Not suitable for outdoor use or bathrooms. Delivery and product availability depend on the selected country.

Acoustic felt made from recycled PET bottles

Behind the slats is 9 mm acoustic felt made from recycled PET. Used bottles are shredded into flakes, spun into fibres and compressed into a durable felt sheet.

The felt absorbs sound that passes between the slats, reducing reflections and helping your room sound calmer.

How it was measured

  • Measured to EN ISO 354:2003 in a reverberation room; the class was determined to EN ISO 11654.
  • Type E mounting: 21 mm panel with a 50 mm cavity and 50 mm mineral wool behind it.
  • Reverberation room of 260 m³, test area 10.5 m².
  • Mounted directly on the wall, the panel absorbs less than in this setup, mainly at low frequencies.

Frequently asked questions about Adeqo Akupanel Rustic Oak (grey felt) 260 cm

What is the Adeqo Akupanel Rustic Oak (grey felt) 260 cm made from?

The panel combines MDF slats with real wood veneer on three sides and a 9 mm recycled PET felt backing. The format is 260 × 60 cm, with a total thickness of 21 mm. The felt helps absorb reflected sound, while the veneered slats create a natural wood finish.

How much does Adeqo Akupanel Rustic Oak (grey felt) 260 cm weigh?

The source specification states 13.5 kg. Check the exact product dimensions and ensure the substrate and fixings can carry the panel load. Ceilings require mechanical fixings.

How many Rustic Oak panels do I need?

For a full-height wall, divide its width by the panel width and round up. Standard panels are 60 cm wide; a 3 m-wide wall needs five full-width panels if the selected length covers its height. Draw the cut layout and allow for waste. For acoustic treatment, coverage depends on the room and mounting; 30–40% of wall area is an initial guide, not a guaranteed result.

How does Rustic Oak compare with the other finishes?

Compare physical samples in the room where the panels will be installed. Lighter finishes give a brighter effect; smoked, brown and black finishes create stronger contrast. Light Walnut is lighter than Classic or Dark Walnut, while rustic oak has a more lively grain. Daylight, evening lighting and your flooring all affect the result. Natural veneer varies between pieces.

How do I install Rustic Oak?

Prepare a clean, dry and sound wall, measure the layout and cut panels to fit. Use suitable High Tack adhesive or screws for the substrate. Check alignment as you work and finish exposed edges with matching trims. Always use mechanical fixings on ceilings. For tested acoustic or fire performance, follow the specified installation configuration.

How do I clean and maintain Rustic Oak?

Dust the slats with a soft brush or duster. Use a soft vacuum brush with gentle suction for the felt. Remove small marks from the veneer with a lightly damp cloth and dry the surface. Do not soak the panel or use steam, abrasives or harsh cleaning products.

What fire classification applies to Rustic Oak?

In the standard range, B-s1,d0 applies to the felt backing, not the MDF slats or complete panel assembly. If your specification requires classification of the whole panel, ask Adeqo about the available evidence before specifying it. Component reports alone are insufficient.

Where can I use Rustic Oak?

These indoor panels suit living rooms, bedrooms, offices and hospitality interiors. They are not intended for outdoor use or bathrooms. Persistent moisture and temperature changes can affect the MDF and veneer. For a project with fire requirements, check the complete specification before ordering.

How does Rustic Oak improve room acoustics?

Sound reaches the porous felt through the gaps between the slats. The backing absorbs part of the reflected sound and helps reduce reverberation. Class A absorption and NRC 0.90 apply to the tested installation configuration; results in a room depend on coverage and mounting. Panels do not replace sound insulation against noise through walls.

Can I use Rustic Oak behind a TV?

Yes, as a decorative acoustic wall finish. Anchor the TV bracket to the underlying wall or a suitable structural frame, not to the felt or slats. Plan cables, sockets, ventilation and exposed edges before fitting the panels.
