Description
Create a stable, ventilated support structure for Highline cladding with aluminium battens. The battens keep the facade level and provide an air cavity behind the panels.
Spacing and drainage
Position battens 35–40 cm apart, perpendicular to the panels: vertical battens behind horizontal panels and horizontal battens behind vertical panels. Where battens are horizontal, provide breaks or suitable shaping so water can drain downwards. Allow air to circulate and leave an opening at the bottom for drainage.
Aluminium is resistant to rust and avoids the movement and decay associated with timber battens. Length: 280 cm.
