Acoustic wall panels

Why choose acoustic wall panels?

Hard surfaces reflect sound and can make a room feel echoey. Acoustic panels introduce an absorbent surface that helps reduce reverberation and makes conversations more comfortable. Results depend on the room, coverage and mounting method.

Acoustic panels that look as good as they sound

A busy office, an echoey living room or a restaurant where every conversation competes with the next: hard surfaces can make an otherwise beautiful interior uncomfortable. Adeqo acoustic wall panels combine a natural wood finish with sound-absorbing felt to help reduce reverberation. Real wood veneer covers the front and both sides of every slat, so the wall looks finished from every angle.

Choose the finish for your space

Compare natural, rustic, classic, brown, grey, white, black and smoked oak, alongside light, classic and dark walnut finishes. Selected versions have grey felt. Order samples before specifying a full wall: wood grain, daylight and nearby materials all affect how the finish looks.

Dimensions and materials

Standard panels are 60 cm wide and available in 260 or 300 cm lengths. Their MDF slats have real veneer on three sides and a 9 mm recycled PET felt backing. Panels can be cut to fit your wall; matching end trims cover exposed edges.

Sound absorption and fire classification

The Akupanel achieves Class A sound absorption and NRC 0.90 in the tested installation configuration. Performance in your room depends on coverage, placement and installation. These panels absorb reflections within a room; they do not replace sound insulation against noise from neighbours.

In the standard range, B-s1,d0 applies to the felt, not the complete panel. Explore the fire-retardant acoustic panel range, which uses separately classified felt and MDF. If your specification requires complete-panel classification, confirm applicable evidence before ordering.

Plan your order

Measure the wall, allow for cuts and include the correct adhesive, screws and end trims. Use mechanical fixings on ceilings. Our team can help with quantities, samples and project documentation. For in-stock products, delivery usually takes 1–3 working days in the Netherlands, 2–4 in Belgium and 3–6 in Germany. See delivery countries and shipping costs.

For a full-height wall, divide its width by the panel width and round up. Standard panels are 60 cm wide; a 3 m-wide wall needs five full-width panels if the selected length covers its height. Draw the cut layout and allow for waste. For acoustic treatment, coverage depends on the room and mounting; 30–40% of wall area is an initial guide, not a guaranteed result.

Sound reaches the porous felt through the gaps between the slats. The backing absorbs part of the reflected sound and helps reduce reverberation. Class A absorption and NRC 0.90 apply to the tested installation configuration; results in a room depend on coverage and mounting. Panels do not replace sound insulation against noise through walls.

Prepare a clean, dry and sound wall, measure the layout and cut panels to fit. Use suitable High Tack adhesive or screws for the substrate. Check alignment as you work and finish exposed edges with matching trims. Always use mechanical fixings on ceilings. For tested acoustic or fire performance, follow the specified installation configuration.

In the standard range, B-s1,d0 applies to the felt backing, not the MDF slats or complete panel assembly. If your specification requires classification of the whole panel, ask Adeqo about the available evidence before specifying it. Component reports alone are insufficient.

Adeqo Akupanels use real wood veneer over an MDF core and a recycled PET felt backing. Check the product documentation for the applicable wood certification and material specifications. Keep indoor panels dry and clean them gently to protect their finish.

Yes. Use a fine-toothed saw for the slats, support the panel and protect the veneer. A sharp knife can cut the felt between slats when adjusting width. Re-secure slat ends after cutting where necessary and finish exposed edges neatly.
